When to get in touch

Good plumbing starts on the plans.

A well-built plumbing system starts long before the fixtures go in. We work through the plans, water needs, pipe routes and construction sequence so the plumbing fits the building from the start.

  • A new home in the planning stage
  • A builder coordinating rough-in and fixtures
  • A new business space needing a plumbing scope
  • Hot-water and treatment choices to settle early

How we work

From plumbing plans to final fixtures.

  1. 01

    Review the plans

We work through fixture locations, water needs, utility information and the construction schedule.

  2. 02

    Coordinate the stages

Pipe routes, rough-in, inspections and connections are planned with the team managing the build.

  3. 03

    Finish the details

Equipment and fixtures are connected, the agreed checks are completed and operating information is handed over.

The right work for your property

New construction and future connections.

Plan the core system

Define the water supply, drain and fixture work, connection points and responsibilities from the outset.

Include the equipment

Hot water and water treatment can be planned alongside the build, with the required space and access accounted for.

Pricing & planning

Know the work.
Know the cost.

Plans, fixture count, pipe routes, equipment choices and site readiness shape the estimate. The scope separates plumbing from other trades and identifies how design changes are handled.

Discuss your project
Before construction begins

Bring the floor plans, property address, fixture schedule and any utility information. We identify the plumbing work, connection points and decisions that need to be settled before the work is covered. Changes to fixture locations or equipment should be reflected in the agreed plans.

Rough-in through final fixtures

The proposal should identify which underground, in-wall, equipment and fixture connections are included. Construction sequencing, required checks and inspection stages are coordinated with the people managing the build. Pipework should remain accessible for the checks required for that project.

Equipment and future use

Hot-water demand, equipment space, fixture choices and any planned water treatment belong in the initial conversation. We discuss how the proposed system will be used, rather than leaving those decisions until walls and finishes are complete.

A clear construction scope

The estimate should distinguish plumbing from utility-provider work, excavation, electrical work and finish restoration. Confirm who supplies fixtures, which approvals are included and how changes are authorized. Actual scheduling depends on the plans, site readiness, materials and inspection sequence.

Scheduling, permits & warranties

The address, scope, materials and any required inspections determine the schedule. We discuss service interruptions, approvals and work by other trades before you decide.

Your written estimate should identify the applicable manufacturer and workmanship warranty terms, including any exclusions. Coverage is specific to the agreed work and equipment.

Before we get started

New-build plumbing questions.

Have a question about your property? We’re happy to talk it through.

Ask H2O Plumbing Authority
When should I involve a plumber in a new build?

Bring us in while the plans and fixture locations are being worked out. Early coordination helps identify pipe routes, equipment space and decisions that affect later trades.

Can you work with my builder?

Yes. Share the builder’s contact details and the construction schedule so responsibilities and the plumbing stages can be coordinated.

What do you need to prepare an estimate?

Start with the address, plans, intended use, fixture selections and available utility information. We explain what else is needed to define the work.

Can water treatment be included in the plan?

Yes. Planning space, connections and access for a softener or filtration system early makes it part of the overall plumbing conversation.

Is every part of the build included in the plumbing price?

The written scope identifies what is included and what belongs to another trade or provider. Fixture supply, excavation, utility connections and restoration should each be clear before work begins.
