Speaker: Caleb Hopkins

Hi, I'm the owner of H2O Plumbing and we're here located in Bertram, Texas. We do full-home repipes, whether that's your drain, waste, water that's underneath your home, or if you got water lines running in your walls and are in the attic, we can come in there. If they're outdated, galvanized, lead pipes, we can do it with the most updated piping, PEX, copper, and we can make you a home that has protected water lines that aren't as much of a hazard when it comes to winter and where we have peak clients all the time with frozen pipes and it's damaging their home, we can come in there and we can install the best piping to protect your home. Give us a call, H2O Plumbing, we got your back.

When to get in touch

A bigger decision. Clearly explained.

Repiping should have a reason. We start with the evidence, then plan the routes, access and service interruptions around the property.

  • Recurring failures in different pipe sections
  • Planning major work on aging plumbing
  • Comparing ongoing repairs with a wider replacement
  • A remodel that creates an opportunity to review piping
Separate red and blue PEX supply lines connected to brass hot and cold water manifolds inside an open wall.

How we work

How we plan a whole-house repipe.

  1. 01

    Review the existing system

We look at the fault history, accessible pipework and what the proposed repipe needs to accomplish.

  2. 02

    Define every connection

The plan identifies included fixtures and systems, pipe routes, material choices and access.

  3. 03

    Plan the handover

Water interruptions, checks and restoration responsibilities are discussed before work begins.

The right work for your property

A targeted repair or a broader repipe?

Continue with targeted repairs

A defined repair can still make sense where the concern is limited and the rest of the system can be retained.

Replace the agreed piping system

A repipe takes a broader view. The scope needs to say whether it covers supply piping, which connections are included and which work is separate.

Pricing & planning

Know the work.
Know the cost.

The number of connections, pipe routes, material choices and access affect the estimate. Wall or ceiling repairs and finish restoration should be specifically included or excluded.

Discuss your project
When a broader conversation makes sense

Repeated failures, a broader renovation, known concerns with existing piping, or a proposed change to the supply layout. These are discussion topics, not automatic indications that every pipe must be replaced.

Compare repair, partial replacement and repiping

Repair history and the accessible piping help define the problem. Compare a limited repair, partial replacement and whole-house scope where each is appropriate. A larger proposal should identify the route and material, how work will be staged, how it will be checked and what happens to opened finishes.

Be specific about what the repipe includes
  • Hot and cold supply lines, fixture connections and shutoffs
  • Whether the incoming service line is part of the work
  • Whether any drain or sewer work is included
  • Wall or ceiling openings and the proposed new route
  • Applicable protection, permits and inspection stages
  • Patching, painting, testing and the final handover
What affects cost and timing

The fixtures served, property layout, occupied areas and route length influence a repipe. Materials, access, restoration, inspections and concurrent remodeling affect both the scope and the sequence. Ask for a practical water-interruption plan and a room-by-room preparation list.

Scheduling, permits & warranties

The address, scope, materials and any required inspections determine the schedule. We discuss service interruptions, approvals and work by other trades before you decide.

Your written estimate should identify the applicable manufacturer and workmanship warranty terms, including any exclusions. Coverage is specific to the agreed work and equipment.

Before we get started

Whole-house repiping questions.

Have a question about your property? We’re happy to talk it through.

Ask H2O Plumbing Authority
Does one leak mean the entire house needs repiping?

No. One leak does not automatically justify replacing every supply pipe. We explain what the repair history and findings show, then compare a focused repair with a larger replacement where appropriate.

Does repiping include drain and sewer lines?

Not automatically. A supply-pipe replacement and drain or sewer work are different scopes. The estimate should state exactly which systems and connections are included.

Can I remain in the home?

That depends on access, the sequence of the work and when essential facilities are available. Discuss the water interruptions and daily plan before scheduling so you know what to expect.

Who repairs walls and finishes?

Make sure the estimate says who opens the walls and who patches, paints or restores the finishes. Any work by another trade should be clear before the project starts.
