The tankless advantage

Why go tankless?

From busy mornings to long showers, tankless makes everyday hot water more convenient. Here’s why homeowners make the switch.

  • Hot water for longer

With a system sized for your demand, water heats as it flows—so you don’t have to wait for a storage tank to reheat.

  • Less wasted energy

On-demand heating reduces the standby heat loss of keeping a full tank hot between uses.

  • More usable space

Compact, wall-mounted equipment frees up the floor space a bulky storage tank takes.

  • A longer service life

Tankless systems generally last longer than conventional tank heaters when properly maintained.

How we work

Plan the tankless system around your home.

  1. 01

    Understand the demand

We discuss the fixtures used at the same time, the incoming water and the available installation space.

  2. 02

    Review the installation

Equipment choice is considered alongside utilities, venting, access and any modifications.

  3. 03

    Explain ongoing care

We review the selected model’s operating and maintenance requirements as part of the handover.

Have the heater’s model number handy, along with a photo of the unit, its connections and the surrounding space.

  • Your busiest time of day

Think about the showers, laundry and other hot-water uses that happen at the same time.

Before we get started

Tankless water-heater questions.

Have a question about your property? We’re happy to talk it through.

Ask H2O Plumbing Authority
Does tankless mean every fixture can use hot water at once?

No. A tankless heater still has a limit on how much water it can heat at once. We consider overlapping showers, appliances and the required temperature increase when discussing equipment size.

Will hot water reach a faraway bathroom instantly?

Not simply because the heater is tankless. The pipe route and distance to the bathroom also affect the wait. Tell us if faster hot-water delivery is one of your goals so it is included in the planning.

Can any house convert to tankless without other work?

No. Changing from a tank can require changes to utility connections, venting, drainage or the equipment location. We review the property and proposed model before defining the installation.

How often does a unit need servicing?

The right schedule depends on the installed model, water conditions and use. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and include service access and maintenance needs when comparing systems.
